How to apply?

The application window for the MUNAM e.V. Delegation of 2017/2018 has closed and a delegation consisting of 18 outstanding individuals from various faculties at both the Technical University of Munich and the Ludwig-Maximilians-University will be representing MUNAM e.V. at Munich’s IsarMUN and conferences in Nice, Maastricht and Vienna.

Did you miss out on this year? Not a problem, next year’s application window will be opening in May 2018. More information can be found on this page a month in advance. We look forward to meeting you!

All information on MUNAM e.V., the application process and our plan for the Delegation of 2017/2018 can be found in our Application Portfolio 2017-2018.

Our application process is divided into two phases.

The first coincides with our application window, which is open for the entire month of May (until May 31st at 11.59PM). Once you are sure you would like to be a part of MUNAM e.V. and the Delegation of 2017/2018, there’s nothing to stop you. Also, don’t forget our information evening on Monday, May 15th at 6.30PM in LMU Main Building (HGB), Room A0.21.

Under “Application” you will find the application form, where we ask a few questions about you, your previous MUN-experience and other potentially relevant information to your application. It doesn’t matter if you’re an MUN-beginner, we promise! We’re looking for a heterogeneous group of people to represent MUNAM e.V. and you might well be the perfect fit for us. Furthermore, there will be a field to upload your CV, a letter of motivation and a self-written speech. The speech should not be shorter than half a page and it should not exceed one full page. Please choose one of the topics listed below.

Once you have sent in your application, we will start the review process. You will receive an e-mail confirming that we’ve received your application and we will get back to you with a response in the first week of June. Those with a positive response will be invited to an interview between Friday, June 9th and Sunday, June 11th.

The interviews will very much be about getting to know you and having a little fun together. There is no way to prepare, just bring a good mood and perhaps a funny joke with you. There’s no need to come dressed in a suit, high heels and the rest either, as we’re hoping for warm and comfortable summer days. We are looking for delegates with a strong thirst for knowledge about international relations, especially concerning the United Nations, and are mostly interested in you as a person. We are building a delegation of students with international experience, an apprehension of how to express themselves and the ability to work in a team, as well as on their own.

Once all the interviews have been held, we will make a final decision and get back to you as quickly as possible. Depending on the applications we receive, we expect to welcome between 15 and 20 members to MUNAM e.V. and the Delegation of 2017/2018.

We’re looking forward to seeing and hearing what you have in store for us and wish you all the best for the application!
