THE APPLICATION FORM
Under “Apply now!” you will find the application form, where we ask a few questions about you, your previous MUN-experience and other potentially relevant information to your application. It does not matter if you are an MUN beginner, we promise! We are looking for a heterogeneous group of people and you might well be the perfect fit for us. You are asked to upload your CV, a letter of motivation and a self-written speech on one of two given topics you will find below. The letter of motivation should not be longer than one full page. The speech should not be shorter than half a page and it should not exceed one full page. Once you have sent in your application, we will start reviewing it. You will receive a confirmation e-mail and we will get back to you in the last week of December. Those with a positive response will be invited to an interview.
This year’s topics for the self-written speech are:
a) You are Vladimir Putin and have to defend Alexander Lukashenko regarding the situation in Belarus.
b) You are Donald Trump and have to comment on the work of the WHO during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The interviews will very much be about getting to know you and less like a usual job interview. All the interviews will be conducted between Friday, January 8th and Sunday, January 10th 2021 online via Zoom. There is no way to prepare, just bring your own spirit and a good portion of curiosity! We are looking for delegates with a strong thirst for knowledge about international relations, especially concerning the United Nations, and are mostly interested in you as a person. MUNAM e.V. is committed to a high standard in MUN which is why we expect individuals who are on top of their academic work and able to organise themselves. It is our goal to build a delegation of students with international experience, an apprehension of how to express themselves and the ability to work in a team, as well as on their own. Open-mindedness and out-of-the-box-thinking are key.APPLY NOW
