President
Leonie Walle
Leonie, born in 1999 in a small town at the Lake of Constance, left her hometown for her studies at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. Ever since then she has been studying law and is currently finishing up her degree. During her studies Leonie spent a semester abroad in Zurich, Switzerland where she got in touch with people from all over the world and completed an internship at the German parliament to further her interest in politics and international relations. She joined MUNAM e.V. during her third semester as part of the Delegation Project 2019/20. After that she helped organise IsarMUNxUN75 in 2020 and took on the role of Vice President for External Affairs in 2021. Leonie is now looking forward to giving the students in Munich an opportunity to foster connections, broaden their horizon and shape their future as a member of the MUNAM Board 2022/23.
Vice President for the Delegation Project
Anna-Maria Murr
Anna-Maria is a law student at LMU. Several exchange programs during her high school years, a longer stay abroad after her Abitur, and a university summer school program in the US made her cherish the importance of cultural exchange and the value different backgrounds and experiences can bring. These experiences sparked her interest for international law, politics, and the UN. After having an intellectually enriching and amazing experience as a Delegate at MUNAM, she wanted to give back to the society by acting as one of the Faculty Advisors for last year’s Delegation. As this year’s Vice President for the Delegation Project, she is honoured to help shape the society and introduce a new Delegation to the wonderful world of MUN(AM).
Vice President for External Affairs
Bettine Kuffer
Being born in Bavaria and growing up in multiple cities, including Hamburg, Schwerin, and Lübeck, before moving back to Munich to finish her A-Levels, she came in touch with people from different backgrounds, cultures, and who had different political opinions. As a result, she strongly believes in communication and a change of perspective to solve and discuss problems. Her interest in languages, speaking German, English, French, and Italian, getting to know new people, and learning more about politics made her first interested in MUNAM. Offering the opportunity to deepen her knowledge about political structures and meet new people with different backgrounds whom all share the same mindset, she is very excited to be a part of the Board 2022/23. Being raised playing multiple instruments and while completing her A-Levels she even was a harp student at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, there she studied Harp for two semesters after her A-Levels to deepen her knowledge of this instrument and music in general. Now she is studying German at the LMU Munich.
Vice President for Financial Affairs
Anna-Sophie Weinstein
Anna-Sophie works as Head of Operations for a federally funded, interdisciplinary research project on peace consolidation in Lebanon and Afghanistan at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich. Alongside her employment she is finishing parallel studies in Law (StEx) and Middle Eastern Studies (B.A.) at Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich, which were enriched by stints in Tel Aviv and Beirut respectively. Having caught the ‘MUN-bug’ early on she spent her high school year’s participating in and later on chairing several conferences a year. Ever since starting university she’s shifted her focus more towards the ‘behind the scenes’ work and most recently, after an extended MUN-world break, happily accepted a position in the MUNAM board. In her spare time she enjoys cooking vegan food, being outdoors, practising various martial arts, climbing, playing DnD and going on all kinds of adventures (a lot of good stories there).
She speaks German, English and Portuguese fluently and is continuously working on her French, Spanish and Arabic.
Vice President for Internal Affairs
Lia von Braun
Lia, born 1999 in Munich, is currently finishing up her law studies at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. She has been part of the Delegation 2021/2022 and was lucky enough to attend live MUN-conferences after a long COVID break. When Lia spent a year abroad after school, she soon developed a strong interest in traveling to foreign places as well as meeting and interacting with people from all over the world. Having close ties to Australia, it’s Lias dream to graduate from one of the best Law schools in the world, the University of Melbourne, with a master’s degree in International Law. Now, she is more than excited to shape the society’s future by being part of the MUNAM Board.
