YOUR PATH TO BECOMING A DELEGATE
Every year, applicants undergo a competitive selection process that allows us to maintain high quality candidatures and an interdisciplinary approach. Our application process is divided into two phases: a written application and an online interview. The written application requires a CV, a letter of motivation and a written speech on a selected current affairs topic. The personal (online) interview takes around 30 minutes and includes questions on the candidate’s profile and their motivation, as well as questions on the UN and current affairs. Applications usually take place during the month of October and the Delegation Project runs from November to July.
Note: Due to unforseen circumstances we had to postpone this year’s delegation project by two months. The programm will start in January 2024.
PREREQUISITES
The Delegation Project is geared towards young adults in the beginning of their professional journey. Prior knowledge on global diplomacy is not expected and applications from students in their first semesters are particularly welcomed and encouraged.
Educational Background
While participation is primarily targeted at university students we also encourage young adults pursuing vocational training to apply. Young adults who are not currently enrolled in university/ in vocational training can be accepted in exceptional cases if they are able to commit the required time. High School students are not accepted into the program.
Age
Applications are open to participants age 18 to 27.
In very rare, exceptional cases students outside the age range can be accepted into the program.

The program is held in English and no German skills are required.
Participation in the project will enhance your English skills but a solid foundation is required for a sucessfull participation. We reccomend CEFR level C1.
