Just a few days ago Harvard university announced the host city of the upcoming WorldMUN 2013. Next year the LMU Harvard WorldMUN delegation will have to travel quite far to participate in this unique, and truly international student event. We congratulate Monash University and RMIT University for hosting Harvard’s 22nd WorldMUN in Melbourne, Australia!
Below you find a warm welcome message from Harvard Secretary-General Charlene S. Wong.
“Dear Delegates, Faculty Advisors, and friends of WorldMUN,
It’s been little more than a month since we left Vancouver, Canada, with our five days of experiences, memories, and lifelong friends. As anyone who has attended World Model United Nations before can attest, WorldMUN is a one-of-a-kind intellectual and social conference that brings together the greatest assortment of young minds from around the globe to engage in cultural exchange. Last year, we boasted nearly 2,000 delegates from 65+ countries, a true testament to the unparalleled international experience that awaits delegates and advisors at WorldMUN. In the time since, a new team has been selected here at Harvard, and planning for the next conference is underway. In the past weeks, the Harvard team has been deliberating over the bids received for the upcoming year’s conference and we are incredibly excited to announce that World Model United Nations 2013 will be held in Melbourne, Australia!”
(…) I look forward to seeing you all on March 18, 2013 in vibrant Melbourne, Australia!”
